Ilro Lee, DMD
For Dr. Lee, dentistry has always been about more than teeth. Being able to eat comfortably, speak with ease, and smile with confidence shapes both physical health and emotional well-being, and he sees oral health as an essential part of overall health. That belief, along with a genuine curiosity about the people he treats, is at the heart of RoA Dental Studio.
A Practice Built Around Time and Trust
Dr. Lee opened RoA Dental Studio to create something he believes patients deserve: time. Time to be heard, time to understand what's going on, and time to make decisions without pressure. Every patient arrives with different concerns, priorities, and goals, and he has learned that the "best" treatment is rarely the same for everyone.
Rather than selling or persuading, Dr. Lee focuses on clear explanation. Using photos, X-rays, and other visual tools, he shows patients exactly what he sees, walks through their options, shares what he recommends and why, and explains what may happen if they choose to wait. His goal is for every patient to leave feeling informed, relaxed, and confident that the decision was made together.
The Road to Artistry
RoA stands for “Road to Artistry.” For Dr. Lee, the beauty of a finished work of art is closely tied to the care that goes into creating it. He approaches dentistry in the same way, giving every step of treatment the attention and precision it deserves. Whether preserving healthy teeth or restoring a smile, he believes the details along the way matter. His goal is to help each patient achieve a smile that is healthy, feels comfortable, functions well, and looks natural.
Comfort for Every Patient
Many patients come to Dr. Lee carrying memories of a difficult dental visit. He takes that seriously. He listens first, explains each step, moves at a pace that feels comfortable, and checks in throughout treatment so patients always feel in control. One of his favorite things to hear is, "That wasn't as bad as I thought." Helping someone replace a bad dental memory with a better one is among the most rewarding parts of his work.
Education and Ongoing Training
Dr. Lee earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2017. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) and a graduate of the Kois Center, and he has pursued advanced education in restorative dentistry, implants, oral surgery, endodontics, occlusion, and TMJ-related care.
For Dr. Lee, continuing education isn't about collecting certificates. He seeks out training that helps him diagnose more thoughtfully, make treatment more comfortable, and offer more predictable results. He stays open to new materials and technology, but adopts them only when they genuinely improve accuracy, comfort, or the patient experience, always returning to one question: does this truly benefit the patient?
Rooted in McKinney
Collin County has been home to Dr. Lee for many years, and he chose McKinney for its strong, family-oriented community. He looks forward to building lasting relationships with local families, getting to know parents and children alike, and caring for them for years to come.
Outside the office, Dr. Lee treasures time with his wife and their newborn daughter. He enjoys traveling and discovering great food wherever he goes, and about once a year he joins a mission trip to Mexico through his church, an experience that continually reminds him how deeply access to care affects a person's health and quality of life.
